Donations in memory

An ‘in memory’ donation to Harris HospisCare is a meaningful way to pay tribute to the life of a loved one. And by supporting us, you will be giving the gift of specialist end of life care to other people in our community when they need us most.

People give donations in memory at funerals instead of sending flowers and also on special occasions such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

Donations instead of funeral flowers
Many funeral directors are able to arrange a collection for you and will forward the donations to us.

If you would like to organise a collection yourself, we have special ‘in memory’ envelopes we can send to you – please call 01689 825755 or email fundraising@harrishospiscare.org.uk

We will write a letter to the family or next of kin to let them know the names of the people who donated and the total raised. We do not disclose the amounts of individual donations.

You can send cheque or credit card donations directly by printing out and completing this Donate In Memory form.

Create your own in memory page
It is easy to create an in memory page for your loved one. Just go to Virgin Money Giving  and click on the ‘start fundraising' button. Your page can be customised with photos and personal messages.  When you’ve created your page, you can invite friends and family to share their thoughts and make donations.

Raising funds online
Making your own web page
Raising funds online is easy using Virgin Money Giving or Justgiving   –  easy for fundraisers because it saves chasing people for sponsorship or donations and easy for the people who give because it is quick and simple. It’s particularly handy if your friends and relatives live in other parts of the country or overseas.

You can customise your page with your own pictures and messages and then send the link to your page to all your friends and relatives. It really is easy... but if you need help we’d be delighted to give you a hand. Just call 01689 825755 or email fundraising@harrishospiscare.org.uk

All money raised via either of these comes directly to Harris HospisCare and is paid into our account weekly, so you can be confident that we will receive your donations.
