Harris HospisCare is a registered charity. It costs £1.7 million each year to maintain our services, with less than half of our funding from the National Health Service the balance must be raised from voluntary contributions.
Corporate support
Harris HospisCare recognises that all organisations have targets of their own and investors, shareholders, members or stakeholders to account to. They may also have staff to recruit, train and motivate, and an image of corporate responsibility to promote.
We believe that a working relationship with Harris HospisCare can be mutually beneficial and will often help organisations to achieve their own objectives, as well as helping us to maintain our vital services to care for people whose lives have been affected by terminal illness.
Some of the ways organisations currently help us include gifts in kind, sponsoring and supporting events, corporate donations, promoting payroll giving and matched giving. Many organisations have plans for their own corporate social responsibility and fundraising plans which may include team building opportunities or just ''giving back'' to society.
Several companies are helping us to expand our network, if you can help us do this by introducing us to your business contacts, people who may wish to hear about our work and may be in a position to support us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
