Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers are essential for the running of the hospice, put simply we would not be able to function without them. The work volunteers do for us contributes enormously to the range of services we can offer patients and families; without them we could not do all that we do. We value our volunteers and support them through training that prepares them for the areas in which they choose to work.

Some find the experience and confidence they gain from working at Harris HospisCare is a useful stepping stone on the way to a rewarding career. Other people bring us a lifetime’s experience.

We offer full training for all our volunteers, appropriate to the role, and this is reviewed regularly. We also offer to reimburse all out of pocket expenses incurred whilst carrying out duties.
