Virgin London Marathon

The London Marathon is one of the world’s most publicised road races, with over 34,000 people taking part each year. We were lucky enough to have 7 places to offer to supporters for 2012, they were quickly snapped up by local people who all had a connection to the hospice.

However, we are always looking for the support of runners who have secured their own places; in 2012 we would like to find at least 5 own place runners who still want to raise money for a great local charity.

Harris HospisCare is the only provider of palliative care in the local area and our free services currently support almost 200 people a day. This care costs over £4,000 a day to provide so we are always searching for ways to raise vital funds.

In 2011 we were lucky enough to have two local businessmen raise over £23,000 for Harris HospisCare and we would love to make 2012 our best year to date. If you would like to join Team haris for 2012 please contact Marlon Burton on 01689 825755 or by email.
