The UK Three Peaks Challenge May 2012

Date:
Friday, May 18, 2012 (All day) - Sunday, May 20, 2012 (All day)
Location:
Scotland, England and Wales

Perhaps one of the most iconic physical challenges to undertake. You will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. The challenge will take 24 hours, weather permitting. Registration fee £100 (non-refundable) plus minimum sponsorship of £800.

If you are unfamiliar with the challenge, the basic idea is to climb the three highest peaks in Britain - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.  The tradition of the challenge suggests that you try and do this within 24 hours but even if your time is slightly outside this it is still a huge achievement to climb all three of these mountains in one hit, with no sleep!  We will be aiming for the 24 hour target …but safety and speed restrictions on the roads will have a bearing on our timing.
