Harris HospisCare 500 Club

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new 500 Club.

This is a fabulous opportunity to win cash prizes each month whilst also raising funds for the essential work of the hospice. It costs just £5 per month per number and half of all the funds collected will be given away in prizes. The remainder is donated to the hospice without administration costs deducted, meaning that 50p in every £1 generated will support our cause (unlike some other lotteries!).

How it works

Every month we will give three prizes and reserve a little for a bumper draw in December. The amount to win can really mount up if we have 500 numbers in play each month, see the leaflet for more details.

How to join

If you would like to join, you have the choice of paying by standing order (monthly or annually) or by cheque (annually). As a thank you for joining we will send you a fantastic Harris HospisCare 2012 calendar.

Are you a member of a club, group or society? If so can you promote the 500 Club to your colleagues or members? Please contact Christine Davies for a supply of leaflets. 

Remember – the prize fund is generated by the participant’s monthly payments (i.e. no outlay for the hospice) therefore more players equal bigger prizes. Better still, the income generated will go directly towards funding the hospice services which are provided free of charge to our patients and the families.

500 Club Terms and Conditions

·         Players must be 16 years old or over.

·         All subscriptions received at a minimum of £5 per draw payable in advance will be entered into the draw using the unique membership number.

·         Payments can be made by monthly or annual standing order or annually by cheque. Annual standing order of £60 payable by 15 January. Players joining during the course of the year and wishing to pay by annual standing order must pay £5 per whole or part month remaining for the year. Monthly standing order of £5 payable by 15^th of month

·         A member may hold more than one 500 Club number, subject to a maximum of 10 per draw.

·         The total of 500 Club numbers may exceed 500.

·         The income from each draw will be allocated as follows: 40% Monthly Prize Fund; 10%  reserved towards December bumper draw; and 50% Harris HospisCare donation

·         There will be three prizes per draw, being as follows (% of the Monthly Prize Fund): 55% 1^st prize; 30% 2^nd prize; and 15% 3^rd prize.

·         The result of each draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified by post within 28 days.

·         We promise to comply with all Data Protection Act requirements and protect your personal data.

·         Harris HospisCare cannot accept liability for the loss or delays in or theft of any communication sent by post, email of fax, nor for any delays in the banking system. Any late payments will be deferred to the next available draw.

·         Membership cancellation can be carried out at any time and is the player’s responsibility. Any monies paid in advance are not refundable. Please advise us in writing if you wish to cancel your membership of the 500 Club.

·         We reserve the right not to accept an application, or to cancel an existing subscription without giving reason and at our absolute discretion.

·         It is the responsibility of the member to advise us of any change of address or any other membership details deemed necessary.

·         Harris HospisCare reserves the right to stop the 500 Club by giving one months notice to all registered members.

·         Members wishing to self-exclude can do so by contacting the Fundraising Team, but will not be able to rejoin the 500 Club for a period of 6 months from the date of self-exclusion.

·         All complaints or disputes will be dealt with in accordance with our policy, a copy of which is available from the Fundraising Team.

·         Harris HospisCare is a member of the Hospice Lotteries Association www.hospicelotteries.org.uk which makes a financial contribution on behalf of their members to The GREaT Foundation an organisation set up with the sole aim of promoting and encouraging responsible gambling.
