Welcome to Harris HospisCare website where you will find information about our services and the care, understanding and support we are able to offer to people.

Harris HospisCare was founded in 1984 and in 2008 merged with St Christopher’s Hospice for the benefit of serving together the residents of Bromley. Although a merged organisation they remain two separate companies and money raised for Harris HospisCare goes directly into the clinical services operating out of Caritas House, the Orpington base of Harris HospisCare. 

Our aim is to improve the quality of life of patients by providing specialist palliative care, supporting families and carers and working in a training capacity with local health care professionals to improve end of life care for all. 

We are a registered charity and constantly need to raise funds, with around forty percent of our funding coming directly from the National Health Service. The balance must be raised from grants, legacies, the generosity of our supporters and our charity shops.

Here at Harris HospisCare, we recognise that when someone is very ill, everyone in the family is affected.  Harris HospisCare  extends care  beyond the treatment of physical symptoms to consider the emotional, psychological, spiritual and social needs of our patients, their families, children, friends and carers.

The Bluebell Walk took place on Sunday 9 May with record numbers in attendance. Over 900 walkers braved the cold and damp weather conditions to complete walks between 3 and 9 miles in distance.

Over £29,000 sponsorship has been received so far. We are nearing our target of £30,000 now, so please do send in any sponsorship money if you have not done so already!
